The 3rd grade is attended by 5 or 6 core students who occasionally bring a guest.
We are working on looking up scripture verses. Thank you, parents, for making
sure your children remember to bring their bibles.

So far we have studied why Jesus had to come and about the promise God made to Abraham.
We learned how Mary was obedient to God and gave birth to Jesus. We learned of the
relationship between Elizabeth & Mary and of the roles that their sons, John & Jesus, played in
God's great plan.

On New Years eve, discussed what Jesus did when Satan tempted him-he prayed. This
sensitive and insightful group of children prayed that drunks wouldn't drive and that people
with various addictions such as drugs, smoking and alcohol would overcome them in 2001. We also
prayed that certain people with illnesses might be healed.

On a lighter note, some of us would really like to see some snow-just enough to make the
yard look pretty or else so much that everyone would get to stay home from work & school.
